We conducted a full refurbishment of the entire ground floor in a house in Trinity, Edinburgh. The client wanted to remove the wall that once divided the kitchen and dining rooms, combining them into one.
In order to create an open-plan living space, we demolished several walls that once formed small cupboards. We removed several walls in the newly-formed utility area and insulated these walls. We fitted new sash-and-case windows to the newly created spaces, as well as re-wiring and re-plumbing the entire room. The space benefitted from the installation of new radiators too.
We installed new flooring throughout—Amtico flooring in the main space and tiles in the utility room. The traditionally made, timeless timber kitchen is by Neptune, sourced from Richard F Mackay. We utilised units from Neptune’s German range for the utility room. The property was tastefully decorated throughout in a palette of neutrals.
